Make a Virtue Training Bible

The Virtual Training Bible is such an amazing gift idea. I think it is so important to learn what is in God’s word. In today’s society so many people have fallen away from living a Christ centered life. It is really important to teach children how to live the way God intended.  Other than learning from example studying scripture is the best way I know how to start. With a Virtual Training Bible anyone can easily find and learn the scriptures related to virtues and Biblical doctrines that lead to living a Christ centered life. The Virtual Training Bible Chart set comes with a VTB key, three tabbers and instructions. Everything is color coded so it is super simple to find the scriptures you want anytime. You will need to get a few extra supplies to turn your Bible into a Virtual Training Bible. These extras include things like highlighters, post it flags, pencil, double sided tape and of course a Bible (9″ x 6″ in version of choice). Instruction sheet, like key and tabbers is laminated and is easy to understand. It will take a bit of time to get your Virtual Training Bible set up. Just think how familiar you will get with the scriptures while going through the Bible and highlighting and marking them.

The Virtue Training Bible is tool that allows parents and children (and anyone that loves the Word of God) to go directly to the pages of Scripture for instruction in 42 virtues.  The VTB emphasizes worship of our Triune God.  The yellow tabs at the top, right provide further study of the Trinity.

 

The VTB was designed with John 15:4-5 in mind.  “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:4-5)

 

The front key of the VTB is a visual index of the virtues that Scripture teaches us to pursue. These areas correspond to color-coded tabs and highlighted text.  VTB Scriptures highlight God’s character, Jesus’ perfect example, and our reliance on the Holy Spirit to produce each virtue in our lives.  Italicized Scriptures indicate examples of biblical characters that highlight each virtue.    

 

To make a Virtue Training Bible you will use the VTB charts that include over 500 Old Testament and New Testament Scripture references.  The VTB Charts also include three-part prayers for each virtue.  

 

Each prayer is designed to help you 

“Worship God” (Deuteronomy 6:4-9), 

“Remember Christ” (Hebrews 12:1-2), 

and “Walk by the Spirit” (Galatians 5:16-26).
