Reviews of Products I love

UncommonGoods $50 Gift Certificate Giveaway

UncommonGoods sent over some of their really cool products for review. I got to choose $50 worth of products and was thrilled with what I picked out. These guys are call UncommonGoods for a reason they have so many really unique items available. They have gifts for cooks, cheese-making kits, and teddy bear lamps to name a few. Check out the to items I picked out. I love em both.

This is one of the coolest lunch kits I have ever seen. It has a  handy strap on it that makes for easy carrying and has a place to store your utensil. Yes it comes with it’s own matching utensil. Loving that this handy kit has two separate areas for food. You can have hot and cold, dry and wet, entree and side, etc…  Made very well , seems super sturdy. I am sure to get years of use out of this one.

Make That To-Go

Simplify the process of packing (and carting) your lunch with this versatile lunch pail, designed with airtight containers and a smart stacking system for keeping food fresh and portable. Its two bins keep servings separate and cleverly pile into a tight, vertical column that saves space–and spills!–when you’re commuting from one destination to the next.

You can pop either section into the microwave for a hot main dish and just as easily pop it into the dishwasher when you get home from work. Packed with a handy, reusable “spork” and a carrying strap, its thoughtful design is sure to please adults and teenagers alike. Made from sturdy, BPA-free polypropylene plastic. Made in Taiwan.

  • Item ID: 20424
  • Materials: polypropylene
  • 4.25″W x 7.5″H; Top Pot Holds 18.6 oz, Base Pot Holds 10 oz.
  • Dishwasher and microwave safe.

This baby is awesome. I love fresh herbs. The trouble is keeping em fresh without making a mess in your fridge. The Herb Keeper keeps your herbs fresh longer than my old way of just keeping em in a cup of water in the fridge with plastic loosely wrapped around the tops. This always had the possibility of easily being spilled. Herb Keeper has a lid that keep loose leaves from falling off and water from getting spilled so easy. Love it Love it love it.

Am I My Herb’s Keeper?

Keep delicious herbs fresher longer with the handy Herb Keeper.

Just like fresh-cut flowers, fresh-cut herbs stored with a source of water will retain their flavor and texture for longer than if stored loose in the refrigerator or on the countertop.

The suspended slotted tray allows herbs to stand upright and comfortably spaced with their stems immersed in water for hydration. Sleek and slender, the Herb Keeper fits snugly on the shelf of your refrigerator door. Made in China.

  • Item ID: 18218
  • Materials: stainless steel, ABS
  • 9.5″ H x 5″ dia.
  • Hand wash recommended.

  7. short story:
i am sooo in love with the kitschy flask…it’s our kind of humor!

    long story:
my man (BF of 6 yrs) is truly the love of my life and i just always wanted to get him a good ‘guy’ gift but of course men are hard to buy for, so i saw some site i can’t recall that was all about “cool guy gifts” and talked about how this year you gotta ‘bring it’ and really blow his mind with your amazing christmas gift, so i thought ok, lemme check it out…and there it was, angels sang, the clouds parted and THIS is what i found for my very outgoing party guy….the sarcasm is so ‘us’…we were both raised very religious but now eschew it for a more spiritual approach (buddhist) so the joke of drinking holy water is hilarious if not a little sacreligious. can’t help it. this is THE funniest flask i ever saw. i cannot WAIT to see his expression when he sees it. i already hinted my gift to him this year may blow his mind yet bet useful throughout the year…he mentioned that he’d always wanted a flask and has just the right pocket for stashing it! i think my face gave it away so at the most he knows i’m getting him a flask but that still leaves a lot to options so i cannot wait to get his reaction. i’m sure his very Sicilian Catholic mom may not like it (or me!) but she doesn’t live nearby. she’ll never see it! ha. btw so glad i discovered your blog. i’m from texas but live in NYC now and love it. however i do miss texas-only stuff like Mrs.Baird’s bread and Whataburger cheeseburgers!

this flask is just the coolest thing since, well, sliced Mrs. Baird’s bread! :o)
