I love fruit picked fresh from a tree in your own yard. One of the blessings with being able to pick your own fruit is you get A LOT of fruit off of one tree.  All of that fruit comes in really fast. You are going to need a plan. You need to know what to do with it so nothing goes to waste. Author, Lori Nawyn, has all the answers you need to be “The Pear Aficionado”. This lovely soft cover recipe book from Familius is a pear lovers dream.

I don’t know about you, but my brain was just thinking sweets when it comes to recipes with pears. I had no clue you could make so many delicious savory creations with pears. Y’all , you can even make meatloaf with pears in it? Yes, that is what I said. Pear Meatloaf. My first thought was what???? Then I looked at the recipe. Nawyn has really got something going on with her delicious concoctions. You are going to have to get the book to find out how pears can be the perfect ingredient for meatloaf. A few of my favorite recipes from the book are: Sausage and Pear Rollups, Pear and Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Rum Pear Cake and YES Pear Meatloaf.
