One of the first things I wanted when my husband and I got married was a smokehouse. All my life I have enjoyed the flavor of smoked meat. After all my family has been making smoked meats for generations.

Later, when my husband and I moved to the city I knew I still wanted that amazing flavor. There was talk about how if I made a smokehouse in the backyard the fire department would get tired  of the neighbors calling every time I smoked something. So, Hubby bought me an electric smoker. Being used to the old fashioned methods of smoke houses and piles of wood, we both had to learn just what to do with the electric version. This book showed us how to do our old favorites like jerky, pastrami, brisket and ribs plus a whole lot more. Did you know you can make pineapple upside-down cake in a smoker? I didn’t, but I do now. “Smoke it Like a Pitmaster” covers it all. so many great dishes are included. Love that full color photos of each recipe are included in this softcover book. Some of my favorite recipes include: Easy Green Chile Corn Bread, Smoked Cheese, and Barbeque Meatloaf. It is amazing what a touch of the right smoke can do for a meatloaf. To find out what kind of wood to use, you are gonna have to get the book.
