Friends and Neighbors
This is the second of the games we received from the nice folks over at Peaceable Kingdom. Friends and Neighbors is a helping game designed to teach your children to be compassionate and cooperate with others. Made with kids 3 years and older in mind, this matching game shows how your child can be helpful to those “friends and neighbors” around him or her. Love how sturdy the game boards and pieces are. Players will learn about feelings and ways to be kind to others. Gameplay takes approximately 10 minutes per game depending on how in depth your conversations get along the way.
Friends and Neighbors is a matching game that focuses on emotions. Can players help a little girl who’s sad because she’s standing out in the rain or a boy who’s afraid of the dark? Reach into the Helping Bag and Pull out a token – can it help someone on the game board? If so, it’s a match!
- How to recognize and name emotions
- What it feels like to be a helper
- How to cooperate
