Bricor Low Flow Shower Head Giveaway

Bricor sent us over one of their low flow shower heads for review. These guys sells some quite stylish low flow products.I received the Hand Held model. It is well made having a chrome brass hose and what feels like ball bearings in the adjustment dial. Yes, you can go from spray to massage on this beauty. Sleek design fits in most bathroom decors. They are really easy to install too. Unscrew your old faucet, Screw on the Bricor shower head making sure not to strip the threads (the lines on the screw part) You have to make sure they line up. You are going to need plumbers tape on the threads to ensure nothing leaks. If you are scared to DIY, no worries, call a plumber. Bricor makes sure your shower head is right for your homes unique water flow by asking your water’s psi. If you don’t know most homes can use Bricor’s default of 50 psi.

Description of Bricor  Hand Held Low Flow Shower Head:

Lowest flow rate in the industry for a hand held shower head at only 1.125 gpm. Chromed ABS Plastic Shower head System comes with the shower head wand, a 59″ chromed brass hose and a chromed stirrup mount. Available at 1.50 gpm upon request.

Take some time to tell us your PSI so that we can configure your shower head to your water pressure rate. Don’t have time to look? Don’t worry, most house holds have a water pressure rating of 50 psi, so the default PSI works in most situations.

We have been on a well for years. Last year’s drought in our great state of Texas made us all take a look at our water usage. We actually had members of our community whose wells went dry last summer. It is really important not to waste water for environmental as well as pocketbook reasons. Bricor has developed a patented aeration technology so you get more pressure with less water use. Their products can be used in commercial, military and residential areas. They even have products for recreational vehicles needing ultra low water flow.

How does Bricor’s aeration technology work?

Water enters our patented VACUUM flow “booster” valve where it is aerated and compacted under pressure. Due to the intense force of the vacuum chamber, the aerated water “explodes” as it exits the shower head, creating a powerful shower stream at a very low flow rate (1.25 gallons per minute or less).

1. Improves Shower Performance

The force of the vacuum booster valve increases the shower stream flow impact intensity by 1.75x over other conventional low-flow shower streams.

2. Saves Water and Energy

By reducing the consumption of hot water, our patented aeration technology significantly lowers gas and water expenses as well as electrical costs for pumping. Effluent costs are also reduced. Choosing 1.25 or less saves the most water, energy and money.

3. Helps Solve Low Pressure Problems

The powerful release from the vacuum chamber creates a pressure boosting effect that counters the weak flow stream that accompanies low water pressure (from 9 psi on up)

4. Reduces Scale

When water enters the vacuum chamber, droplets are large and relatively slow-moving (a very undesirable trait in a flow stream). Under the intense vacuum force water droplets are compacted and highly energized. As they exit the vacuum chamber the smaller droplets both expand and vibrate rapidly. This combination of vibration, smaller-sized droplets and increased velocity dramatically reduces the formation of mineral crystals (scaling) by eliminating attachment sites on the front face of the spray plate.
