Balance Bar Summer Fitness Tips Giveaway

936399_653791314647834_164482151_n My job keeps me extremely active during the school year. I eat right and stay fit easily. When summer starts, it can be a whole other story. In the past I had gained anywhere between 5-10 pounds over the short time off. What to do, you ask. I have found that simply taking the time to get just a few minutes of exercise in a day and eating the right foods can make a major difference. I know, I know you don’t think you have time between all the chores around the house, work and dealing with the kids and their activities. That is what I thought too. I am telling you that even taking 5 or 10 minutes a day can make a difference. Sometimes I do leg lifts while washing the dishes or squats when I lean down to get clothes out of the drier to fold em. Stuff like this will add up. You have to take some time for yourself so you  are able to stay healthy and get all of life’s long list of chores done. Ever been on a plane? What does the flight attendant tell you to do if the oxygen mask falls in an emergency? That’s right, put it on yourself first so you can breathe and are able to help your children. A lot of good you will do your babies if you are unconscious from lack of oxygen. Staying fit is just as  important. Being healthy can help ya keep up with those toddlers learning to explore, etc…

Eating right is super important too. Yes I know fast food is easy, but most of it is so bad for you. Ever gone on those company websites and read the nutrition information on your favorite fast food meals. They are generally packed full of salt, bad fats (not all fats are bad) and calories.
