Small children are like mental sponges until they turn about nine. So it is vitally important to get all the right info in their little heads while they are able to really soak it in. I think sign language is a wonderful way to communicate with your baby before they are able to use verbal communication. Baby First TV sent over a copy of “I Can Sign First Words” for us to review. Let’s check it out
BabyFirstTV’s I Can Sign
This is a great way to talk with your baby early. Helps your little angel tell you when he or she wants something. Baby First TV has done a fantastic job with this Series. The video shows numerous pictures of babies and toddlers doing what the sign means while repeating the word and showing the sign in the bottom corner of the screen. Repetition is a fabulous way to learn. Lively music keeps baby interested. I learned quite a bit watching the DVD myself. Just imagine how nice it would be if your baby could tell you in sign language that he or she is hungry or thirsty or that their ear hurts instead of just crying and you having to guess. Makes a great gift.
I Can Sign offers a simple and engaging way to teach parent and baby how to sign key words. This is a great way to open the lines of communication, even before baby learns to speak!
Makes a great Baby Shower Gift!
