gfgrainscoverThe Complete Gluten-Free Whole Grains Cookbook

Judith Finlayson

Love this cookbook. It seems like every year there are more and more people that are having to go gluten free for medical reasons. So many people are allergic to gluten. I have even heard on Facebook about a young man that was diagnosed with autism. After a doctor found he was gluten intolerant the child was placed on a gluten free diet. Miraculously his autism improved immensely in the next few months. Now I am not a doctor but that sounded really interesting to me.
The reason I love “The Complete Gluten-Free Whole Grains Cookbook” is the variety of recipes included. 125 recipes range from breads, breakfasts, fish, meats, sides and even deserts. Just listen to the names of some of the included recipes.
Zucchini Fritters
Soba Noodles with Broccoli Sauce
Red Beans and Rice
Chewy Oatmeal Coconut Cookies with Cranberries and Pecans
and so many more
The beginning of the cookbook tells ya about the many gluten-free whole grains available and how to prepare em. There is a section that tells you what gluten actually is. Kinda important to know if a doctor tells you to lay off the gluten so you will feel better. There are several full color photos included to help you pick which recipe you want to try first. Great for anyone trying to be gluten free. If you are someone you know is going gluten free, give this book a try.

From nutty to sweet, gluten-free whole grains are simply delicious.

We’ve known for a while now that whole grains not only offer up a wide variety of health benefits, but are also incredibly delicious. We also know that more and more people are looking for gluten- free alternatives. That’s where this book fits in perfectly — simply sublime recipes featuring amaranth, buckwheat, corn, Job’s tears, millet, oats, quinoa, rice, sorghum, teff and wild rice.

This full-color book features a wealth of health information on these grains. In addition, color photographs of each grain are included for easy identification. This book is proof that good taste and gluten-free options are not mutually exclusive.
