Newman’s Own Organics Giveaway

Newman’s Own Organics sent over quite a selection of their products for review. I love this company they sell really great snack options in so many varieties.

Pretzels, – These are great pretzels. Perfect amount of salt. Crunchy and delicious

The Rounds come in Salted and Unsalted, and the Minis include Spelt, High Protein, Honey Wheat and the Mighty. Spelt has a light, slightly sweet, nutty flavor. With a stronger outer hull than either oats or wheat it seems to keep more of the nutty grain taste and good nutrients locked inside. By using yellow pea flour in our High Protein, we were able to create a pretzel with 5 grams of protein per serving.

Sticks are available in Salted, Thin and for those who have requested a thicker stick, Rods. Our old style pretzel rods forced us to revise an old adage: “Don’t spare the rods. Spoil the child!

Fig Newmans™,

Very moist cake and sweet figgy center. Couldn’t ask for a fresher tasting fig.

These cookies come in 10oz packages and can be found in natural food stores across the country. Like our other products, Fig Newman’s are certified organic by Oregon Tilth.

Family Recipe Cookies,

Smaller cookie with big taste. Double chocolate chip is my favorite. Like an explosion of chocolate in your mouth.

Chocolate Cups

Big bite sized cups taste rich an creamy. Mmmmmm Hubby’s favorite. He really likes em.

We made some changes to our cups when we upgraded the quality of our chocolate. Besides a whole new look for the package, we modified the recipe for the centers to compliment our new chocolate. Nell Newman, a confirmed chocoholic, can’t go too long without dreaming up uses for the company’s luscious, new organic chocolate. With three cups per 1.2 ounce package, there are five flavors to choose from: Peanut Butter in Dark Chocolate or Milk Chocolate, a delicious Dark Chocolate Peppermint Cup and a rich Caramel cup rounding out the selection in either Dark Chocolate or Milk Chocolate. All five carry Rainforest Alliance Certification. Both Caramel cups carry the USDA Seal.

Newman-O’s

Wonderful crisp chocolate cookie with creamy fillings that taste wonderful Great for dunking.

Pop’s Corn

Very Nice. Smells like movie theatre popcorn without the massive butter.

Pop’s Corn comes in three organic varieties:

• No Butter/No Salt 94% Fat Free

Each box contains three packets and is easily identifiable with the eye-catching design used on all the company’s products, an American Gothic “Pa” Newman and daughter Nell with accompanying tongue-in-cheek legend. Pop’s Corn features organic corn and organic palm oil. Consumers concerned about fat consumption will appreciate that no partially hydrogenated oils or trans fatty acids are used.

These are great cookies. I love the crunch and touch of vanilla. Best alphabet cookie ever.

Dried Fruit

Dried fruits have gone beyond their traditional roles and are now replacing high-fat, high-sugar snacks and drinks. Prunes, once thought of only for the older set, are being touted for their high antioxidant qualities; second only to blueberries. Raisins, always a treat, have made the leap from the lunch box and oven to trail mix, granola, and other mixed snacks. Cranberries are not just for holiday sauce anymore. Mints

These are by far the strongest mints I have had. They are really really good. I can’t decide which flavor is my favorite.

All flavors in both the tins and rolls are made from organic sugar, organic corn syrup, gum arabic and natural flavors. Three pieces (2.0g) contain ten calories with 2g of sugar and no total fat, sodium or protein.
