  Cookbooks are a great way to enhance your cooking skills. I love cakes. Really good cakes. I don’t care what kind, just as long as I can eat it.  Being allergic to milk I opt to go Vegan for great tasting desert recipes. Ulysses Press sent over Have Your Cake and Vegan Too for me to check out. I am so glad they did. I love love love this cookbook. It has so many fantastic recipes. The book even teaches you how to make your cakes taste better and look fantastic. By using their egg equivalent conversion chart you can choose your own options for allowing those with milk or egg allergies to enjoy these and your own treasured family recipes too.

We made the Basic Chocolate Cake and Chocolate Butter-cream Icing. I have no clue why they call this a basic chocolate cake. This is BY FAR the best tasting cake I have ever made. It is rich, moist, rich, decadent. I can’t believe I made this. The frosting is a perfect compliment to it too. Smooth and creamy perfection.
